Jennye Rebecca Owen

I create one-of-a-kind pieces of handwoven clothing for women working with a variety of color combinations, weave structures and garment styles.

The visual and tactile elements of creating handwoven fabric excite my senses. Exploring the interplay of colors and textures within the patterns allows me to create different moods and statements. The inherent mathematical aspects of weaving and the woven structure appeal to me and are evidenced in my patterns. To me, weaving is a meld of the textures and colors of nature with the structure and mathematics of the woven fabric. Each new warp offers me the opportunity to study, learn and grow in and through the work and each offers a new challenge.
