Susan Link was born in Hendersonville and was raised in the small town of Brevard, NC. She attended Auburn University in Alabama for a brief period of time, but quickly returned to the mountains of North Carolina, where she plans to always call home. Susan received her Bachelors Degree from the University of North Carolina at Asheville in 1993. She returned to college in 2002 to pursue her dreams of becoming a furniture maker and recently graduated from Haywood Community College. When she is not in the shop, Susan enjoys hiking with her dog, Sampson and cycling the back roads of western North Carolina.
